Marnie Martin

From the time she was a young woman, Marnie has enjoyed being busy and she thrives on diversity and change. She has a creative, entrepreneurial spirit and loves working with people, which naturally brought her to the Real Estate Industry and to RE/MAX. After moving to Los Angeles at 18 to study voice at Musicians Institute of Technology, she went to Nashville to record her first CD in 1997 and began touring and receiving radio airplay of her first two singles across the country. But her desire for family began to overtake the joy of life on the road, and she chose to spend more time with her two young sons by staying closer to home and trying her hand at opening her own bistro- “The Beanstalk Coffee Company”. With a full time staff and a love for the arts, Marnie quickly established her bistro as a local mecca for cultural events and live music, hosting a variety of fundraisers, jazz nights and local Art displays. Through her work with “Performances in The Park” with the city of Williams Lake as booking co-ordinator for their live music and concert series, to her volunteer efforts with Communities in Bloom and Music For Young Children, Marnie has learned the value of team work, contribution and a strong community.

Her background in the music industry as well as her years as a restaurateur, have taught her that integrity and enthusiasm are key ingredients to the success of any business. She is passionate about her commitment to the community and since moving to the Island a few years ago, she has worked as a freelance writer and PR person for Habitat for Humanity, written for In Focus Magazine and The Rural Shopper and Comox Valley Homes and Living Magazine as Cuisine and Events Editor.

Marnie is proud to call the Comox Valley her home. The boundless beauty here makes it very easy to work in the Real Estate industry, with it’s growth and diversity. Her love for people keeps her driven to help families and investors alike, find the perfect home or property to suit their needs. Steven James Martin

Born in Birmingham UK, raised in Southern Ontario, Steven moved to Vancouver to combine his love of the arts with a fresh business diploma and worked his way from a junior designer to art director in three short years... starting a family and buying a first home in the process.

After moving to the Vancouver Island in 1998, Steven continued his 11 year career in advertising and media development as the director and owner of FloodMedia, a communications development studio servicing the North Central Island. Several Tourism and Economic Development projects brought FloodMedia national recognition of Best of Show in Canada... along with two first place awards in respective categories.

A passion for Real Estate, and a love of advertising brought a comfortable relationship with RE/MAX in the Comox Valley. Steven has obtained his Luxury Home designation as a way to combine beautiful luxury homes with beautiful marketing.
